Women’s Rights Program

An awareness advocacy program on witch-hunting, organized by the Unique Welfare Foundation with the assistance of the National Commission for Women (NCW). The program focused on raising awareness among women about the dangers of superstition and witch-hunting, which continue to affect communities in certain regions.

  • The importance of women’s education and awareness in eliminating blind faith and harmful traditional practices was emphasized.
  • Experts and speakers at the event discussed how superstitions lead to violence against women, particularly in cases where women are falsely accused of witchcraft.
  • The program aimed to educate women about their rights and empower them to stand against such harmful practices.
  • It was highlighted that support from the government and social organizations is essential to completely eradicate witch-hunting.

Rape Roko Abhiyan

The “Rape Roko Abhiyan” was launched by the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) in January 2018 after the brutal rape of an eight-month-old baby in Delhi. This campaign aimed to raise awareness and push for stricter laws and faster justice in rape cases.

As part of the movement, thousands of people gathered at Connaught Place’s Central Park to form a human chain in protest against the rising number of sexual assault cases in the country.
