The “Risk Communication & Community Engagement” project was initiated by the Unique Welfare Foundation with support from the Ministry of Science & Technology. The project aimed to enhance public awareness regarding COVID-19, promote preventive measures, and ensure the dissemination of accurate health information to communities.
Objectives
To educate communities on COVID-19 transmission, symptoms, and preventive measures.
To promote vaccination awareness and counter misinformation.
To engage local stakeholders, healthcare workers, and volunteers in public awareness initiatives.
To develop and distribute informational materials in local languages.
Workshops & Training Sessions
Conducted workshops for community leaders, self-help groups, and local NGOs on COVID-19 safety measures.
Training sessions for volunteers on effective risk communication and handling public queries.
Sessions led by healthcare professionals on vaccination benefits and post-COVID care.
